As part of our collaborative approach, we seek the insights and experiences of organizations with intimate knowledge of the social challenges facing our home region of Pictou County, Nova Scotia.
The Sobey Foundation is dedicated to fostering transformative change in our home region of Pictou County, Nova Scotia, which is at the heart of our mission. Guided by our five-year strategic plan, we are focused on investing in initiatives that build capacity for primary healthcare delivery and community development.
As part of this commitment, we have made the decision to temporarily pause accepting new proposals.
This pause will allow us to channel our resources and efforts into deeply supporting and understanding the impacts of our current initiatives that are part of our strategic plan. This five-year pilot will provide us with the experience and guidelines needed to eventually roll out comparable capacity building strategic plans in other rural communities and small towns across Canada.
