SobeyCancerSupportCentreThe Sobey Cancer Support Centre is a place of reflection, support and empowerment for cancer patients from across Nova Scotia seeking treatment in Halifax. As Nova Scotia’s most comprehensive cancer support facility, it offers programs and services to meet the emotional, social, and practical needs of people living with all types of cancer and those who care for them.

The Centre offers programs including: art therapy, support groups, speakers’ series, yoga and meditation as well as massage and reiki. A central component of The Lodge That Gives, it is a home away from home for cancer patients and their families from across Nova Scotia, providing warm and welcoming accommodations to those who must travel to Halifax for cancer treatment. Once the current expansion is complete, the Lodge and Centre will allow the Canadian Cancer Society to increase capacity from 34 to approximately 65 guests.
