United Way Creates Opportunities for the Future
Partnership with The Sobey Foundation, dating back to 1982, is based on similar philosophies and desire for enduring change.
The United Way is an organization that works to create opportunities for a better life for everyone in the communities it serves. In many ways, the philosophy of the United Way mirrors that of The Sobey Foundation.
Because of the similarities of missions and visions, it’s no surprise that the partnership between the two organizations dates back to the Foundation’s inception in 1982.
Over the years, the Foundation has supported the United Way across Atlantic Canada, including local chapters in Cape Breton, Colchester County, Cumberland County, Greater Saint John, Halifax, Newfoundland & Labrador, Prince Edward Island, and Pictou County.
Together the United Way and The Sobey Foundation have provided support for Atlantic Canadians in ways big and small, but always with the goal of shaping a better tomorrow.
